In the 1300’s people in Europe believed any cat was evil and should be killed. During this time, Europe experienced the Bubonic Plague. Coincidence? Maybe not. In ancient Egypt, cats were worshiped and today, cats still act like they should be worshiped. Cats, like the one in this jigsaw puzzle, enjoy lying around showing off how comfortable they can be in any position, and do not mind giving themselves a pat on the head. Today, cats are used often as comforters and lap warmers, but are still valued for rodent control. Some people, who love birds, are harsh on cats. Those people need to realize that rats kill way more birds than cats do. Without cats, rats could make birds extinct. Cats also kill baby snakes preventing them from becoming big snakes, which also eats birds.
