The Zurich zoo has a great seal exhibit. Visitors can walk by and see them swimming or playing during the day as shown in this jigsaw puzzle. While playful, seals are very large. Male grey seals can grow up to 10 feet long and weigh up to 880 pounds. Male seals often grow three times as big as female seals. The grey seal eats fish, squid, octopus and shrimp. They even eat seabirds when they can catch them. Female seals live up to 40 years in the wild, and male seals live to up to 30 years. In captivity male seals have been know to live for as long as 40 years.
