Mayan Ruins Jigsaw Puzzle

The Uxmal Mayan Ruins shown in this jigsaw puzzle can be found in the state of Yucatan, Mexico a few miles from the town of Muna. Uxmal, pronounced Ooxh-mahl is believed by some to be Mayan for “built 3 times”.  Uxmal is an intricate and splendid illustration of Mayan Puuc architecture.  The ruins contain a myriad of magnificent Mayan pyramids and other structures which are a favorite tourist attraction.

Much restoration has been done to the building at Uxmal.  The site has been a significant source of  artifacts and research.  Uxmal’s date of occupancy is not known but the population is currently believed to have been approximately 25,000.
