Lake Manly was a large lake that existed in Death Valley National Park, California in ancient times when the area had a wetter, cooler climate. The beautiful photo for this jigsaw puzzle was taken in March, 2005 when Lake Manly remarkably reappeared for a brief time due to a severe flooding event. The white line dividing the mountains and their reflection in Lake Manly is the lake’s salt encrusted shore.
