Traditional Dutch brick houses with orange-tiled roofs line the waterfront of Hoeksche Waard, an island in South Holland in the Netherlands. This island once had over 100 windmills for grain, pressing oil, pumping water, and more. Ten mills remain on the island today, some of them still operational.
