Chenonceaux Castle Jigsaw Puzzle

Chenonceaux Castle Jigsaw Puzzle

The beautiful Loire Valley region of France is famous for its many castles and one of the most picturesque is Chenonceaux Castle, featured in this jigsaw puzzle as a watercolor. In fact, it is the second most visited castle in France, after Versailles. The castle dates from 1513 and was originally intended to house only women. Today, many of the decorative features seem decidedly feminine. Chenonceaux was largely built for decoration and style, rather than as a defensive structure. The castle and its elegant grounds have plenty to offer visitors, including elegant period furnishings, elaborate ceiling decorations and paintings by Reubens and other artists, as well as the beautifully landscaped gardens.
