A watercolor illustration called Bedroom, 1940, by American artist Perkins Harnly (1901 – 1986). He depicted American domestic interiors in his art as part of the Federal Art Project, a U.S. government program created in 1935 as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal to employ artists.
