Features

Open – Allows you to open a previously saved jigsaw puzzle.

Save – Allows you to save a puzzle in progress so you can continue it at a later time.

Note: The Save window will be displayed each time you select the Save button even if you have already chosen a file during a previous save. This is normal and happens because the security features built into Microsoft’s Silverlight technology do not allow the puzzle player to remember the location of the file you previously saved.

Edges Only – Controls whether only the jigsaw puzzle’s edge pieces are displayed. This feature is useful if you prefer to work on the edge pieces first. Select the Edges Only button again to make the interior puzzle pieces reappear.

Tip: When you toggle the Edges Only button off all of the puzzle’s loose pieces will come to the top and appear over any joined sections of the puzzle. This is useful for revealing loose pieces hidden behind larger joined sections. Use this feature at any time simply by toggling the Edges Only button on and then off.

Box Top – Displays the complete image of the jigsaw puzzle subject to aid in the completion of the puzzle.

Timer – The timer displays the number of elapsed hours, minutes, and seconds since the first puzzle piece was moved. Select the timer to switch it to a time of day clock. Note that when you save a puzzle the timer value is saved as well.

Tip: You can pause the timer by selecting the Open or Save button. The timer will remain suspended until you dismiss the Open/Save File window.

Rotate Puzzle Pieces – Jigsaw puzzle pieces can be rotated by either pressing the keyboard’s left or right arrow keys, or by rotating the mouse’s scroll wheel. This feature works whether the mouse has picked up a puzzle piece or whether it is merely positioned over a puzzle piece. Puzzle pieces can only be rotated if the Rotate pieces option is selected when the jigsaw puzzle is begun.

Snap Indicator – A small, animated snap indicator briefly appears when two fitting puzzle pieces are positioned closely enough to be snapped together. If the indicator does not appear when two puzzle pieces are moved together then they do not fit together along the edges attempting to be joined.
